Main St Hotel – Royal Oak, MI
Project Status – Concept
Scope – Schematic Design | Design Development | 3d Rendering
Downtown Royal Oak is lacking one key element in its well-functioning urban core, a high-end hotel. Royal Oak has become a destination within the metro Detroit area and there is no hotel in its downtown core. This project was developed as part of a larger master plan that including closing off streets to be utilized as pedestrian access only. The hotel was located one block west of Main St. and the site was selected because of its adjacency to a large municipal parking deck. The project developed into a boutique hotel that would support small conference and gym facilities, a restaurant and bar, and more than 60 rooms.
