VDG was tasked with reimagining what a juvenile detention facility could be. Our team researched the way in which the United States has decided to deal with punishment and what alternative options were available. Our focus was on the environment in which juvenile offenders are subjected to and how that can effect recidivism. The final result was a conceptual study on how a more psychological beneficial juvenile detention facility could be created to highlight the potential benefits for both the juvenile offenders and ultimately the community at large.
