ABOUT

Vanguard Design Group is a Metro Detroit based design firm specializing in residential, retail, and commercial design, project management, and project visualization. We also offer branding, facility planning, furniture and exhibit design, and interior design services. VDG is dedicated to providing our clients with the support they need during the often daunting design process. Our team is open, creative, and rigorous during the execution of all of our projects. We strive to make the often intimidating task of design enjoyable for everyone we work with while making sure that we build lasting relationships based on trust and our commitment to our work.

 

BEGINNINGS

VDG was founded by Bryan Shishakly with the intention of creating flexible and targeted design teams that would be able to provide professional design and visualization services for smaller franchises and businesses as well as larger companies. Prior to starting Vanguard, Bryan had been moonlighting servicing a handful of clients with various project needs, but he quickly realized that there was a need for the particular design services that he could offer. Shortly after formally starting VDG our business started to grow and has established continuing relationships with nearly every client we have serviced. During its founding in 2014 Vanguard worked with 33 different clients on more than 50 unique projects and we are continuing to grow.

 

CULTURE

VDG is comprised of a self-motivated group of design professionals that take our work, but not ourselves too seriously. We believe in creating an environment where we can collaborate while also having the option to work remotely to ensure our team has a good work-life balance and just to have an occasional day when they can work without interruptions away from the rest of the team. We try to make sure that everyone at VDG is comfortable and excited to be a part of our team. The flexibility that we offer our team members has benefitted more than just office morale, our productivity has improved and being able to remotely work has given us the ability to work on-site for our clients without interruption of services.
